Community Connection Dinner @ Ostani, Hotel Realm Canberra

Get ready for an evening of yarn, laughter and new connections at the 2025 Australian Yarn Show Community Connection Dinner!

Join us on March 8th at Ostani Bar in Hotel Realm for a night of good food, great company and plenty of yarn talk! This is your chance to cast on your KAL (launching at 4pm on the main stage), continue working on your CAL or MCAL (kicking off at 1:30pm in the community space) or bring your current WIPs, share tips, tricks and yarn recommendations and bond over all things fibre.

We’ve also got lucky door prizes up for grabs, so be ready for a few surprises along the way!

What to expect: This year, we’re keeping it simple and fun - no games or activities, just a cozy space to relax, enjoy a delicious meal, sip a drink and chat the night away. We’ve reserved a special area just for us, so we can share stories, laughs and celebrate what makes our yarn-loving community so special.

A couple of quick notes:

• We will kick off the dinner with a few light nibbles on us; however, your main meal and drinks will be at your own cost.

All profits from ticket sales will go to Roundabout Canberra, an amazing local charity that ensures every child has a safe start and every family gets the dignity they deserve. They provide essential baby and children’s items to families in need, helping them focus on what matters most. While you're at the Show, make sure you say hello to the Roundabout Canberra team!

The Community Connection Dinner is a great time to knit or crochet your 20cm x 20cm square to donate to Roundabout Canberra to support them in making blankets for children in need this winter. You can use any wool in any colour to create your square!
